  • The Jar Family

    The Jar Family

Hartlepool based band, The Jar Family are five individual songwriters and musicians who decided that, rather than strive for success in isolation, they would loin forces to pool their talent and create their "industrial folk" sound.

The Jar Family have mesmerised, entertained, thrilled and conscripted punters at more than 400 gigs including approximately 75 festival performances. Their fanbase is notoriously loud, thirsty, loyal and very large. This six piece are a superb option for festival crowds all over the UK and Europe as they have the knack of being able to win over a crowd quickly and they are extremely entertaining to watch.

Imagine, if you can, Steam Punk infused Bob Dylan wrestling The Pogues with Bez in a top-hat. Intrigued?

    The people

In between shooting the performers, I filled the time grabbing some shots of the attendees. The festival always draws an enthusiastic crowd of all ages - it's great to see the youngsters enjoying the sort of music you don't get on Radio 1 (Well, not very often, anyway!)
